Your invitation to SUPPORT OUR TRAILS and ensure the future of outdoor recreation in Wasatch County

Building a new trail can cost easily over $50k per mile and maintaining it can require anywhere from $1-5k/mi. The Wasatch Trails Foundation, with the support of trail enthusiasts and volunteers, stewards over 200 miles of trails in the Heber Valley and surrounding areas, driven by a passion for human-powered recreation and a commitment to a year-round trail network in Wasatch County.

As we enter this giving season, we invite you to be part of our mission by considering a donation to the Wasatch Trails Foundation. This year we have a fundraising goal of $100k to hire back our professional trail crew, support matching funds for future grants, and ensure the resiliency and growth of our trail community.

Here is how you can make a difference, choose a tiered donation or pick your own amount:

$50: Winter Grooming - gas, oil, parts (feed Snoopy the Snowdog)

$250: Fuel & Tools - for machinery and trail maintenance

$500: ¼ Mile - maintain a quarter mile of trail

$1000: Fund a feature - build a jump, drop, berm or bridge - get your face stuck to the feature (in sticker format)

$6000: Support the crew to build new trails - make a donation that creates more epic trails and connections in our community

Fund a strategic project -

$10,000: Support the development of the virtual “go-to” resource for our trail community. Help us build a refreshed user-friendly website with trail updates, information on new and existing trail projects, and more to empower outdoor enthusiasts to better enjoy our local trails. If you are a business we will add, “This resource is provided by the generosity of [insert company logo here].”

$25,000: Be a trail connection hero - Help fund the matching grant dollars required to connect the Wasatch trail network. We'll work directly with you to identify a project or initiative that best leverages your generosity and passion, and best serves our community.

All tiered donations will be recognized in local publications and on our website and social media.

Making a donation is simple:

2. From your DAF or company giving campaign [Tax ID #45-3030370]

Trail systems are more than just pathways; they strengthen communities by connecting us to each-other and to the natural landscapes we cherish. With your support, we will build a vibrant trail network that brings joy, fosters connection, and promotes well-being for everyone.

Thank you for considering joining us in creating a thriving trail network in Wasatch County.

Cheers,

Mia Yue, Executive Director

P.S.  Please share your love for trails on social media and share this message – or one of your own – to your trail-loving friends!  Please let them know that even a $20 donation makes a difference by putting their money where their tires, feet, and paws go!
